Gruissem Can't Get O'Dwyer Out

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Philipp Gruissem and Steve O'Dwyer built a massive pot preflop of about 20,000 and Gruissem checked a {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop from under the gun. O'Dwyer bet 7,600 and Gruissem shoved all in a little over halfway through his timer. It was 33,600 more and O'Dwyer flicked in a call after his timer was almost out.

O'Dwyer: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Gruissem: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"Mine is better," Gruissem said with a smile, wiggling the {k-Hearts}.

No hearts would come into play as the {4-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river meant a chop.

"What price were you getting?" Gruissem asked.

"I didn't do the math fast enough and I didn't want to use a time bank," O'Dwyer said.

Sontheimer Massively Coolers Roy

Steffen Sontheimer

With 23,000 in the pot and the board completed at {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, all the chips flew in the middle between Steffen Sontheimer and Jonathan Roy. It was Sontheimer who was all in for 53,850 and Roy who had him barely covered.

Steffen Sontheimer: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}
Jonathan Roy: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Roy's jacks full was crushed by Sontheimers quads, which left the Canadian with 6,000 when the dust had settled.
