Limp Fold

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Sebastian Sorensson limped under the gun. From the hijack, Raffaele Sorrentino raised to 250,000, apparently having missed the limp.

Lachezar Plamenov Petkov called from the cutoff and Sorensson folded, which surprised the commentators at first.

With {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} on the flop, Sorrentino took down the pot with a small bet.

According to the commentators, Sorensson might have accidentally limped, thinking he was the big blind.

Daher Takes From Sorensson

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Albert Daher raised to 325,000 from early position and and Sebastian Sorensson called in the big blind. The flop fell {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {2-Hearts} on the turn. Sorensson bet 650,000 and Daher called, investing a big portion of his stack already.

The {5-Clubs} appeared on the river and Sorensson gave it some time, glanced over at the stack of his opponent and the board, then checked. Daher double-checked his cards and bet 500,000, Sorensson snap-folded.

Once the hand was over, Sorensson added "bad turn card" and Daher smiled back.

The action started with a raise from Albert Daher from under the gun for 325,000 and Raffaele Sorrentino called. [Removed:146] moved all in for 1,840,000 in the hijack and Daher asked for a count on the shove of Guerfi. Once he received the answer, Daher moved all in over the top and Sorrentino almost immediately asked "Can I get a count please?"

Daher's stack was cut down and the all in was for 3.4 million, which saw Sorrentino call shortly after. The rail jumped up from their seats and started cheering for each of their favorites while the cards were turned over.

[Removed:146]: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Albert Daher: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Raffaele Sorrentino: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Sorrentino had both players covered and the best hand, but the flop of {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} gave Daher trips. The Lebanese rail exploded while the French one fell silent. On the {K-Spades} turn, the "ohhhh's" went louder and the entire room was filled with screams in Italian when the {9-Spades} river improved Sorrentino to a straight.

Guerfi had fewer chips and was eliminated in 9th place and €104,000, while Daher had to settle for 8th place and a payday of €136,000. Sorrentino, who already lifted the PokerStars Championship trophy in Monte-Carlo in April 2017, skyrocketed to the top of the counts and Day 5 is just one elimination away from wrapping up for the big final on Sunday August 27th 2017.

Arunan Gets Some Back

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Aeragan Arunan raised to 505,000 from the small blind and Raffaele Sorrentino in the big blind asked "How much do you play total?" Arunan replied with a "around three million," and Sorrentino called.

The flop fell {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Arunan's continuation bet of 440,000 did the trick to force a fold.

Arunan raised the third hand in a row, making it 350,000 to go from the button, and won the blinds and antes.

Sorensson slowed down and checked, while Arunan was having none of it and bet 735,000. Sorensson folded and Arunan continued to build his stack after the recent setback.

Small Pot to Sorrentino

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

From under the gun plus one, Sebastian Sorensson opened for 320,000. Raffaele Sorrentino instantly called from the button. Andre Akkari in the big blind called as well to make it 3-way to the flop.

With 1,180,000 in the pot, the flop came {5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and all of them checked. The {3-Hearts} on the turn saw Akkari and Sorensson check again but Sorrentino bet 350,000. Akkari tanked long before he folded, Sorensson folded right away.

Kaufman Extends Lead

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Raffaele Sorrentino raised to 350,000 from the hijack and Usman Siddique moved all in out of the small blind for 2,895,000. Sorrentino asked for a count but folded before that was finished.

The very next hand, Aeragan Aruna made it 350,000 to go from under the gun and Brian Kaufman Esposito called in the big blind. On the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop, Kaufman checked and Arunan continued for 345,000, which the chip leader called.

The {8-Diamonds} was quickly checked before the {3-Diamonds} river brought a bet of 455,000 by Arunan and a fold by Arunan.
