Sun Not Shining

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

We have an early casualty in the form of Sheng Sun, who has just departed at the hands of Anthony Diotte.

We did not arrive in time to catch any of the pre-flop action but Sun had the all-in triangle on the felt in front of him when we arrived on the river, along with all his chips.

It appears that Diotte was the man to shove first as he is the man who has to show first. With the community cards reading {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds} Diotte turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the turned straight.

Sun threw his cards into the muck, but being as this was an all-in and a call the rule is Sun must showdown so the dealer reached in and obligingly turned over Sun’s {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. It does not look as though Sun fancies the second bullet and he headed for the rail.

Canlin Chen has recently joined the action and will be eager to see if he can best his third place finish in the HK$206,000 Single Re-Entry Shot Clock II.
