Seven-Deuce!

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jason Mercier limped in from the small blind and big blind Steve O'Dwyer raised to 52,000. Mercier called and check-called 44,000 on {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Both players checked the {Q-Clubs} on the turn and {3-Hearts} on the river.

Mercier showed {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. O'Dwyer said "I'm embarrassed to show this" before revealing {7-Hearts}{2-Spades} which earned him the pot.

Post Flop Action

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo opened under the gun for 37,000 and Steve O'Dwyer in middle position called. Petrangelo bet 35,000 on {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and 66,000 on the {5-Spades} turn. O'Dwyer called both times and saw Petrangelo check to him on the {K-Spades} river. O'Dwyer needed some extra time (and a time bank chip) before he decided to bet 195,000. Petrangelo folded.

River Check-Raise Makes for Huge Pot

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Philipp Gruissem
Philipp Gruissem

David Peters opened under the gun for 27,000 and big blind Philipp Gruissem defended. Gruissem check-called 40,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop before both of them checked the {7-Hearts} turn.

So far, the pot wasn't all that big, but that would change on the river.

The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and Gruissem checked again. Peters bet 115,000 and action was on Gruissem. The German high-roller tanked, needed some extra time and used a time bank chip to get it. After just a bit more, Gruissem check-raised to 375,000.

Peters needed some time as well but eventually called. Gruissem showed {K-Spades}{6-Spades}, the pot went to Peters who tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Schwippert Decimated

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Jan Eric Schwippert check-raised a flop of {5-}{4-}{2-} with {K-}{5-} and called Steve O'Dwyer's shove that followed. O'Dwyer had flopped a wheel with {A-}{3-} and Schwippert did not improve.

The German left the table but was called back as he still had some chips left. The next hand, he got it in three-way.

Joao Simao (big blind) and Alexander Kharkov (under the gun) checked the {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop and Simao bet 33,000 on the {8-Diamonds} turn. Kharkov called and saw Simao check on the {J-Clubs} river. Kharkov bet 125,000 and Simao called after his clock ran down to 4 seconds.

Jan Eric Schwippert: {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Alexander Kharkov: {A-Spades}{3-Spades}
Joao Simao: {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Simao just about doubled up, Schwippert tripled.

Monosson Exits

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Monosson
Daniel Monosson

Daniel Monosson (hijack) got his chips in the middle before the flop against his neighbor Alexander Uskov (cutoff).

Things were looking a bit bleak for the American upon showdown.

Alexander Uskov: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Daniel Monosson: {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Monosson asked for an ace but would get none: {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}. Down and out for Monosson, an above average stack for Uskov.
