Thorel Jams the Flop

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Sergio Aido built his stack further and established quite a gap between himself and the rest of the field while Dan Smith scored a fortunate double with {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} before the field was redrawn to the last three tables.

Just now, Smith raised to 45,000 in the cutoff and Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 100,000. Smith called and the flop fell {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Smith checked, Thorel instantly moved all in and the fold of Smith was as quickly.

Viacheslav Buldygin Eliminated

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Viacheslav Buldygin got his chips in with a pretty strong hand, pocket aces for the player from Russia. Adrian Mateos had pocket sevens and had an uphill battle to fight. Unfortunately for Buldygin, a {7-} flopped and that was the end of it for Buldygin.

"This is not good" Buldygin said as the river was put on the table by the dealer. Down and out, 21 players remain in the tournament.

Kempe and Petrangelo Double

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand 1

Rainer Kempe moved all in for 123,000 and the action reached Isaac Haxton in the small blind. He moved all in himself to get Nick Petrangelo out of the way and the cards were turned over.

Isaac Haxton: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Rainer Kempe: {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The board of [8s7c4f3d10s] paired up Kempe on the flop and he doubled.

Hand 2

Then, just one hand later, Erik Seidel made it 45,000 to go from the hijack and Petrangelo moved in from the small blind. Seidel quickly called and Petrangelo was in need of help.

Erik Seidel: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Nick Petrangelo: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop gave Petrangelo a set, and he held on the {2-Hearts} turn and {3-Diamonds} to come from behind and double up as well.

Slow Restart at Three Tables

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The only bigger hand at the start of the new level saw Charlie Carrel look up a bluff by Christoph Vogelsang on an ace-high river with {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for second pair, and Vogelsang only tabled {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a busted straight draw and nine-high. That pot brought Carrel up to more than 1.1M and he joined the chip leaders.

Another Three Seat Open at the Same Time

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ivan Luca's three-bet shove with ace-ten out of the big blind for around 300,000 came at the wrong time, as initial raiser Sergio Aido snap-called with ace-queen and held up.

Turning around to the next table was already the next all in and call and it was Sam Greenwood at risk. He shoved for 178,000 and Charlie Carrel on the button reshoved to isolate.

Charlie Carrel: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Sam Greenwood: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop all but sealed it, and the {5-Clubs} turn made the elimination of Greenwood official. A meaningless {4-Spades} appeared on the river and Carrel claimed the pot.

Last but not least, John Juanda three-bet shoved for 190,000 out of the big blind and Orpen Kisacikoglu called from the button.

Orpen Kisacikoglu: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
John Juanda: {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board came {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Juanda missed out on the runner runner straight miracle to bow out as well.

Kurganov Eliminated

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Igor Kurganov was seen standing on the rail, talking to John Juanda who was still in. The PokerStars Team Pro shared what had happened.

David Peters opened the cutoff and Igor Kurganov shoved for 9 big blinds from the button. Isaac Haxton reshoved for 30 big blinds from the small blind and the big blind and Peters folded. Kurganov showed {5-}{5-} and did not suck out on Haxton's {8-}{8-}.
