Kanit and Dvoress Find Doubles

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

At the end of the previous level, Mustapha Kanit defended his big blind and then check-raised all in for 300,000 on the {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. Initial raiser Jean-Noel Thorel, who had bet 100,000, called with the {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Kanit showed {7-Spades}{5-Spades}. The {J-Clubs} turn was a blank, but the {7-Clubs} river gave Kanit trips sevens. "Fedor would have made a straight," the Italian joked.

Steve O'Dwyer squeezed to 108,000 after a raise by Daniel Dvoress from under the gun and then called the shove of the Canadian only to find himself in bad shape to deal the final blow.

Daniel Dvoress: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Steve O'Dwyer: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {J-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs} and the back door flush draw of O'Dwyer didn't get there, leaving the Irishman short in chips.
