River Queen Saves Calzada

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

David Laka Calzada opened to 900 on the button and Denis Chiginev three-bet to 2,300 out of the small blind. Calzada thought briefly before sliding his stack forward. Chiginev called rather quickly.

Calzada: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Chiginev: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Calzada was at risk and in trouble as the dealer tapped the table and rolled out the board. The first four cards gave Calazada some hopes for a chop as the {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} left an open-ended straight draw on the table.

The river was even better for Calazada as the {q-Clubs} hit, giving him the double up.
