Pete Chen has been on fire this year and is a strong contender in the Asia Player of the Year standings. He walked up to the tournament area moments ago and one of the players asked if Chen was hopping in.

Yuki Ko pointed at the clock and said something, but Chen just laughed and shook his head.
Takumi Samejima raised to 300 in the cutoff and called a three-bet to 1,200 from Yuki Ko, who had the button. Ko bet 1,100 on the flop and got a call. Samejima checked the turn and Ko checked back. Samejima checked the river and folded to 3,600 from Ko.
After the hand, the players redrew to two tables as nine players have now registered for the event.
Elias Gutierrez raised to 500 from the hijack and Yoshihiro Kitauchi called from the button.
The flop fell and Gutierrez bet 400. Kitauchi called.
The turn brought the and Gutierrez bet again, 1,500 this time. Kitauchi called once more.
The river was the and Gutierrez bet 4,000. With seven seconds remaining on the shot clock, Kitauchi called and Gutierrez tabled for a turned set of tens. Kitauchi tossed his cards into the muck and Gutierrez took the pot.
Aki Virtanen raised to 300 from under the gun and Yuki Ko called from the small blind.
The flop fell and Ko checked. Virtanen bet 400 and Ko called.
The turn brought the and Ko check-called a bet of 1,000 from Virtanen.
The fell on the river and Ko checked. With 15 seconds on the shot clock, Virtanen bet 2,000 and Ko quickly called. Virtanen flipped over for top pair, top kicker and Ko showed for the same hand, so they split the pot.
