Laodee Turns One Dead

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Paphawin Laodee was on the button and got all in on a {7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop against an opponent in the blinds. Laodee had {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a set of tens and was fading jacks and sixes as his opponent turned over {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Laodee filled up right away on the {7-Diamonds} turn, rendering the {q-Spades} river meaningless. He collected his opponent's stack of about 20,000.

Brodie's Small Bet Gets it Done

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Stuart Brodie bet 2,500 from the big blind on a board of {5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs} and an opponent in middle position made it 6,000 to go. Brodie called to see the {5-Spades} double-pair the board. Brodie led right out again for 5,500, and his opponent tanked about a minute and released.

Huang Raises Wu's River Bet

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

With a final board of {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts} on the felt, Jack Wu bet 4,000 from the big blind, a little over half pot. Bryan Huang made it 11,000, and Wu grabbed calling chips and appeared ready to toss them in. After a couple of minutes, he thought better of it and mucked.

Rosen Still Climbing

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

After being down to about 4,000 earlier, Jesse Rosen is plenty healthy and pushing towards 50,000.

In one recent pot, a player opened to 1,500 on the button and Rosen made it 3,800 in the small blind. The player on the button came back with 8,500, and Rosen thought about a minute before shoving all in. That induced a quick fold.

Sukegawa Waits for the Turn

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Yutaro Sukegawa
Yutaro Sukegawa

Andrei Li bet 3,100 from under the gun against two opponents on an {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. Only Yutaro Sukegawa, in the cutoff, put in a call. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Li bet again, 5,300. Sukegawa moved all in to put Li at risk for 18,500. Li tanked a little over a minute and then dropped his stack in the middle.

Li: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Sukegawa: {j-Spades}{8-Spades}

Li needed help but could catch a queen, nine, four or ten. The river was a {6-Spades}, no help to Li's queens.

Zhou Gets Lucky

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Hua Tian Zhou raised to 1,800 under the gun and got one caller before a player on the button with 17,700 pushed all in. Zhou called, and the third player got out of the way.

Zhou: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Button: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Zhou was dominated, and nothing of use came as the board rolled out {q-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. However, an {a-Clubs} on the river gave him the win and left his opponent shaking his head.
