Lauck Doubles Through Soderstrom

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, Tomas Soderstrom checked his option in the big blind and Jonas Lauck bet 17,000 on the button, which Soderstrom called. The {7-Hearts} fell on the turn and Soderstrom now made it 52,000 to go. Lauck moved all in and Soderstrom called.

Jonas Lauck: {K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Tomas Soderstrom: {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Lauck had flopped two pair, while Soderstrom turned the worse two pair. The {5-Clubs} on the river even gave Lauck a full house and the German doubled up for 178,500.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy

While the majority of the high roller regulars are no doubt packing their bags for Panama right now, a few opted to stop by King's Casino this week for the PokerStars Festival Rozvadov King's High Roller. Its €5,300 buy-in might seem small compared with the €50Ks and €100Ks of the Championships, but here it's the biggest game in town.

Small Pot for Soderstrom

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Andreas Eiler raised to 20,000 first to act and Tomas Soderstrom defended his big blind. On the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Soderstrom check-called a bet worth 10,000 before the duo checked the {5-Spades} turn. Soderstrom's bet of 49,000 on the {9-Diamonds} river won the pot, as Eiler folded.

The Austrian claimed a small pot soon after to recover some of the losses, though.

Stop And Go by Troyanovskiy

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, the flop showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Vladimir Troyanovskiy bet 10,000, Jonas Lauck called. The {4-Clubs} on the turn saw no betting action before Troyanovskiy then bet the {10-Diamonds} river for 17,000. Lauck glanced over at the board again and folded.

Two hands later, Lauck raised to 20,000 on the button and Tomas Soderstrom moved all in. Lauck didn't ask for an exact count, but folded instead.

Bottom Pair is Good

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After winning a small pot in a battle of the blinds against Vladimir Troyanovskiy, Jonas Lauck limped in the very next hand. Eugene Katchalov checked his option and there was no action on the {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and the {3-Clubs} turn. On the {A-Diamonds} river, Lauck bet 12,000 and Katchalov called.

Lauck showed {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a bluff and Katchalov claimed the pot with {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for bottom pair.

Soderstrom Takes from Eiler

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Andreas Eiler raised to 20,000 first to act and Tomas Soderstrom came along from the big blind. The Swede checked the {10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop and Eiler continued for 28,000, which Soderstrom called. On the {2-Hearts} turn, the action went check, check, before Soderstrom then led the {4-Diamonds} river for 59,000.

Without much hesitation, Eiler folded and gave up the pot.

Katchalov Shoves

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Tomas Soderstrom raised from the cutoff and Jonas Lauck defended the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, Lauck check-called a bet worth 18,000 before checking again the {J-Hearts} turn. Soderstrom carefully cut out a bet worth 45,000 and Lauck folded instantly.
