Eliano Mesquita Ends Ying Wang's Run

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Start-of-day chip leader Ying Wang is no longer.

She shoved 80,000 over an Eliano Mesquita open and Mesquita called with the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Wang's tournament life was riding on the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} in a classic race that was all but over when the {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop gave Mesquita a set.

The {8-Diamonds} turn filled Mesquita up and Wang was headed to the payout desk before the {5-Hearts} river was even revealed.

The board came down {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, no help to Lopes, ending his run in 14th place.

Mesquita Takes Out Steinberg

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Meese Wins The Biggest Pot So Far

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

There was a raise and three callers preflop, including Ryan Meese and Joao Batista Cunha Jr.

After the raiser checked the {9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop, Meese led for 60,000. One player folded before Cunha min-raised to 60,000. Only Meese called, and he checked the {k-Diamonds} turn. Cuhna shoved for about 135,000 and Meese called all in for his last 126,500 with the nuts.

His {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} had Cuhna and his {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} drawing dead, and after a meaningless {8-Hearts} river, two rather big stacks were combined into one and pushed to Meese. Cuhna was left with 10,000 in chips, but they went in and he went out on the very next hand.

In the meantime, Meese is the runaway chip leader with just 16 players remaining on two tables now.

Eder Sousa Eliminated By Garrett Smith

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Eder Sousa made it 11,000 under the gun and when it folded to Garrett Smith in the small blind, he made a small raise to 19,000 total.

The big blind released, but after about 15 seconds, Sousa pushed in for all of his close to 50,000-chip stack. Smith made sure he was all in before calling with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

Sousa's tournament life was riding on the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and although he got some hope from the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, the {3-Hearts} turn and {2-Diamonds} river ended it.
