Welcome To MICOOP Event #55: $300 NLHE [Main Event], $200K GTD

The time everyone has been waiting for is now among us as the $200K GTD Main Event is about to start, headlining the inaugural PokerStars Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP). A highly anticipated main is always cause for excitement, especially when a six-figure guarantee is in place so expect some of Michigan's best to battle it out tonight at 5 p.m. EST for a shot at the main event title.

Given the success of the inaugural MICOOP upon legalization of online poker in Michigan, the original $125K guaranteed prize pool was upped to $200K, with the new figure likely to be surpassed.

Registration is already open for all within the state of Michigan. Players need not be Michigan residents; they simply must be within state lines to compete.

All players will begin the main event of the series with 100,000 in chips with late registration open for three hours and forty-five minutes, and all players are allowed up to five re-entries (six total bullets) for this event.

After seven and a half hours of play (play through 28 Levels), Day 1 action will commence and all remaining players will return for Day 2 action Monday, March 8th at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Make sure to come back at 5:00 p.m. EST to find out who will be jumping into the Main Event and win their share of the $200,000 guaranteed prize pool as the PokerNews live reporting team will be there to bring you all the action right here.
