On Wednesday, MICOOP Event #23: $250 NLHE 6-Max Championship Trophy Event ended with "PimpMyRide" standing tall as champion after defeating "mewmewMEOW" heads-up to collect a cool $9,071.

The tournament drew 198 entries, generating a $46,134 prize pool, which was enough to easily surpass the $30k guarantee.

The tournament's turbo-like structure ensured fast-paced action, which led to the entire tournament being played out in just over six hours.

"PimpMyRide" is a regular grinder of the MICOOP series and has had several cashes before today's victory, including a third place finish in Event #31: $250 NLHE [Sunday Special SE] during the MICOOP series earlier this year.

Final Table Action

The bottom stacks going into the final table were "EASTMANAGENT", Henry "xlzou1990" Zou, and "Vokey1224". They were all eliminated in short order after getting all-in preflop and winding up second best.

"fuenteslogan", who entered the final table second in chips, couldn't get anything going after losing a decent chunk of their stack by losing a race to "Vokey1224" early on. They were eliminated after getting all-in with ace-seven against the pocket tens of "PimpMyBalance" and failing to improve.

Play slowed considerably three-handed, with many small pots going in all directions. Eventually, "Meatballs9000" was eliminated after they shoved as the short stack with queen-jack and ran into the ace-queen of "mewmewMEOW".

Heads-up play began with "mewmewMEOW" holding an over 2:1 chip lead against "PimpMyBalance". The tides turned quickly, however, after "mewmewMEOW" ran into a flopped full house of "PimpMyBalance" and called them down.

With escalating binds, it didn't take long for a short-stacked "mewmewMEOW" to get all-in preflop with king-nine and lose out against the ace-eight of "PimpMyBalance" to end the tournament.
