"snapcallzzz" Wins 2020 NJCOOP Event #27: $300 NLHE [Sunday Special SE], $50K GTD ($12,613.85)

On Sunday, the 2020 NJCOOP continued with Event #27: $300 NLHE [Sunday Special SE], $50K GTD. The tournament attracted 131 players who rebought 100 times, meaning the hefty $50,000 was easily eclipsed by $14,680. The top 31 players all took a slice of the prize pool home, but after seven-and-a-half hours of play, it was "snapcallzzz" who took home $12,613.85 for the victory.

"snapcallzzz" started the final table fourth in chips, but found himself with nearly half the chips in play after rivering the nut flush against eventual fourth place finisher "icecube2". Mike "FortheThr1ll" Haberman kept lurking all the way into heads-up play, and even managed to briefly take the chip lead during the half-hour heads-up battle.

A cooler hand would spell the end of Haberman's run in second place, however, as Haberman flopped trips with an ace kicker, only for "snapcallzzz" to flop a full house, and Haberman couldn't avoid disaster and sent the rest of his chips to "snapcallzzz" after jamming on the river.

7Tony "JoEiSiNz" Sinishtaj$2,200.21
8Dan "monkeyman067" Sewnig$1,644.63
9Ryan "ISlowRollYou" Hohner$1,229.34

Others to finish in the top 31 and earn a payday were "senor stinks" (11th - $1,060), Alex "Uber_N00ber" Astashkevich (15th - $913), "xaverian412" (24th - $787) and Mike "mmenz08816" Menzer (28th - $678).

The NJCOOP series, which will run through October 26, features $1 million in total guarantees across 54 events.

The crown jewel of the series is of course the $300 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, which boasts a $125,000 guarantee. That one takes place Sunday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. local time.

It'll be accompanied by a smaller $50 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main Event, with a $25,000 guarantee.

Players who enjoy non-hold'em formats will also have plenty to choose from. There are several pot-limit Omaha events, including a $500 six-max high roller. There's even $100 Pot-Limit Badugi, $100 H.O.R.S.E. and $100 5-Card PLO.

PokerStars NJ is also committed to giving unlucky players extra value via freeroll tickets. Those who get eliminated shy of the money will be given tickets into events awarding more NJCOOP seats.
