JKasemets Denies Shaban on Day 13

Another day, another deep run at an Ontario Championship of Online Poker (ONCOOP) title for Team PokerStars Pro Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban. But while Shaban came up empty on Day 13, "92c92m" added to their ONCOOP haul.

Event 47-H: $200 NLHE [6-Max, Progressive KO]

"92c92m" held a massive chip lead with 3,528,744 once Event 47-H: $200 NLHE [6-Max, Progressive KO] was whittled down from the 140 starting entries to the final table of six, having more than double the amount of Jeffrey "Jefffrr8" Reardon in second place.

"92c92m" wasted little time adding to that lead. Reardon raised to 31,500 before "TRON1987" moved all in for 94,432. "92c92m" reshoved and Reardon folded. "92c92m" had ace-king to ace-ten for "TRON1987" and ended up with a flush to bust "TRON1987" in sixth place.

"thx4your$" and "n0fear47" took turns doubling up off the chip leader, first when "thx4your$" won with a flush to beat two pair and move up to 745,929. "n0fear47" then moved all in for 284,929 with ace-ten against "92c92m"'s pocket fours and turned a ten.

"n0fear47" soon found themselves all in again after three-bet shoving for 225,860. Reardon picked up queens in the big blind and called, holding up against ace-jack as "n0fear47" finished in fifth place.

"Feath21" was down to 343,563 when they got the rest of their chips in with ace-four against the ace-six of "thx4you$," making a straight to beat two pair. "Feath21" doubled up again after "92c92m" shoved all in blind versus blind and Feath called with ace-king. They had king-ten drawing dead by the turn as the board came ace-high and moved up to 991,752.

Reardon moved to the top of the leaderbord when, on a ten-high flop, "92c92m" bet 59,070 before Reardon raised to 210,000. "92c92m" called and Reardon bet another 467,220. "92c92m" folded this time, surrendering the 599,000 pot and the chip lead as Reardon moved past 3,000,000. Reardon then three-bet preflop to 297,500 and "92c92m" called. The flop came seven-high and Reardon continued for 315,250. "92c92m" called and both players checked down the turn and river, "92c92m"'s pocket fours good enough to win the 1,200,000 pot and retake the lead.

After dropping a big pot when "92c92m" made a straight, "thx4your$" was down to 259,850, around six big blinds, and shoved all in with king-queen. "92c92m" called with three-deuce and hit a pair of deuces to win the pot as "thx4your4" hit the virtual rail in fourth place.

"92c92m" had a chance to bust Reardon and take a massive lead into heads-up when Reardon got his last 1,152,604 in the middle with two fives and was up against two tens. eardon, though, spiked a five to make a set and double up. Reardon again doubled when he shoved fo 753,548 with jacks and won a coin flip against ace-queen. He doubled once more, this time with kings against king-nine.

Then it was "Feath21"'s turn to double up when Reardon bet 240,000 on a board with two tens. "Feath21" moved all in for 808,097 and Reardon called with two sixes. "Feath21" had five-three for a straight draw and hit an ace on the river to complete the straight.

Reardon found yet another double when he bet 133,000 on a queen-high board, "92c92m" raised all in, and Reardon called with two aces. "92c92m" had queen-deuce for two pair, but the board paired on the river to give Reardon a higher two pair as "92c92m" tossed a horseshoe throwable over to him.

Reardon's luck, though, soon ran out. "92c92m" bet 263,900 on an ace-high board and Reardon called. "92c92m" shoved the river and Reardon used much of his time clock before calling with ace-nine. "92c92m" had king-queen for the flopped Broadway straight to finally eliminate Reardon in third and take a 5,028,331 to 1,971,669 lead into heads-up.

On the last land, "Feath21" again limped and "92c92m" shoved. "Feath21" called for 2,100,540 with ace-ten. "92c92m" had two sixes and, while "Feath21" picked up a straight draw, won the coin flip to secure a third ONCOOP title.

Event 48-L: $20 NLHE [8-Max]

In Shaban's last three ONCOOP victories over the previous two days, he held the chip lead for much of the final table. His run in Event 48-L: $20 NLHE [8-Max], though, was vastly different, as Shaban found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard with six players remaining out of a starting field of 301.

Shaban shoved all in twice to move up to 906,487 before he bet 80,000 on a queen-high flop. "Goblin48" raised all in and Shaban called with queen-jack for a pair of queens. "Goblin48" had flopped two pair with six-four, but Shaban rivered a jack to make queens and jacks to double up into the chip lead.

Michael "WalmartCNXN" Farrow jumped in front when he bet 75,900 on the flop and "Goblin48" called. "Goblin48" led for 190,900 on the queen turn, then bet another 381,800 when a king fell on the river. Farrow called both bets with pocket jacks while "Goblin48" could only show seven-six for a bluff as Farrow took the 1,527,200 pot.

The next hand, "6DonDelgado9," "JKasemets," and "Goblin48" saw a king-high flop. "6DonDelgado9" was all in for 874,640, "Goblin48" shoved for 353,784, and "JKasemets" called to put both players at risk. They showed a set of sixes to score the double knockout and have their turn in the chip lead.

"RaydonPoker" was next to fall when they called all in for 614,484 with two fours but was counterfeited on the board as Farrow won the pot with his ace-kicker. Farrow then three-bet to 450,000 and "JKasemets" called. The flop came king-high with two nines and Farrow continued for 245,625. "JKasemets" called, then called another 486,338 on the turn. Farrow shoved the river and "JKasemets" called for 1,418,890 as Farrow showed ten-nine for trips. "JKasemets" had two kings for a flopped full house to win the massive cooler and double to more than 5,000,000, dropping Farrow down to the short stack.

Shaban's run at a sixth ONCOOP title, and fourth in the last three days, soon came to an end. He shoved all in for 972,136 with ace-deuce but ran into kings, sending him to the rail in third place.

"JKasemets" led 6,524,597 to 1,000,433 at the start of heads-up, which would only last one hand. Farrow shoved with nine-ten and "JKasemets" called with ace-five. "JKasemets" flopped two pair and ended up with a full house to secure the ONCOOP crown.
