Scarpa Sends Anufriiev Into Tank

Andro Scarpa and Eduard Anufriiev each put in 17,000 preflop when a flop of 7♣2♥7♠ was dealt. Anufriiev then bet 16,000 under the gun, which Scarpa called in middle position.

The 2♣ turn was checked through to the K♣ river. Anufriiev checked once more, after which Scarpa put him all-in for 50,000.

Anufriiev spent a few minutes thinking before the clock was called. During his 30-second countdown, he decided to fold and the pot was shipped to Scarpa.

Montalban on Monster Stack After Ku Calls Off

Jaroslaw Sikora raised to 2,000 in the hijack. Taerim Ku three-bet to 6,000 from the small blind, which big blind Manel Montalban four-bet to 14,000.

Sikora quickly got out of the way before Ku tossed in a call to the 6♦6♥J♦ flop. Ku check-called Montalban's bet of 7,000, after which Montalban sized up to 24,000 on the 4♠ turn.

Ku check-called once more, and the 7♣ river rolled off. This time, Montalban moved all in, covering the 44,000 chips of Ku. Ku spent some time in the tank and threw in a calling chip after several minutes.

Montalban tabled K♠K♣ for an overpair, beating the Q♦J♠ of Ku, who booked a late-night exit.

His opponent was Alice Sicconi in the cutoff, who went all in for 84,000. Toma spent some time in the tank but ultimately decided he could not fold and made the call.

Sicconi tabled K♥9♥ for a rivered flush, cracking the A♦A♣ of Toma and being awarded with a monstrous pot.

Barmettler then bet 13,200 on the J♣3♠K♠ flop, which Cuzzone raised to 35,000. Barmettler three-bet jammed in response, and Cuzzone snap-called for his stack of 94,000.
