2025 PokerStars Open Malaga
Jarno Jokiniemi opened to 4,000 from early position, and was met with a three-bet to 12,500 from Gregory Campbell in the cutoff.
Action folded back to Jokiniemi, who promptly four-bet jammed to a 50,000 total.
Campbell asked for the count, thought it through for a bit, but ultimately elected to fold.
Michael Nicholls opened to 4,500 from middle position, and received a call from Verneri Hakkinen on the button.
Nicholls fired out a bet of 4,500 on the A♣J♦7♠ flop, and Hakkinen stuck around for the 9♥ turn.
There, Nicholls quickly check-folded versus a bet of 12,000 from Hakkinen.
A completed board of Q♦9♠4♥10♦J♠ had led to a pot or around 18,000 developing, in a hand between Simon Persson and Ciaran Cooney .
Persson check-called an overbet of 20,000, and was shown the bad news when Cooney tabled A♦K♣ for the nut straight.
