Ovechkin Pressures Gross

Level 15 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Around 36,000 had found its way into the middle on a completed board of Q5394, in a hand between Alexander Ovechkin and Michelle Gross.

Ovechkin jammed the river with the covering stack, and Gross, who had around 35,000 behind, went deep into thought. After around three minutes, the clock was called.

Gross seemed unable to make a decision, and as time was almost out she reluctantly sent her cards to the muck.

Angerant Pips Barka

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Samy Barka opened to 5,000 under the gun, and received calls from two players and Michel Angerant in the big blind.

On the KQ9 flop, action was checked to Barka, who fired out a bet of 5,500. Only Angerant stuck around for the Q turn, which paired the board and was checked through to the 5 river.

There Angerant led out with a bet of 22,000. Barka eyed him suspiciously for a while, and ultimately made the call.

Angerant tabled AQ for the turned trip queens, which usurped Barka's AK for flopped top pair kings.

Albers Sends Lehu into a Spin

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Gertjan Albers

Gregory Lehu opened to 5,500 from under the gun, and was met with a three-bet to 16,000 from Gertjan Albers in middle position. Action folded back to Lehu, who called.

On the 764 flop, Lehu check-called in the face of a bet of 15,000 from Albers.

The 8 turn was checked through to the A river, where Lehu check-called a bet of 35,000 from Albers. Albers tabled AK for the rivered pair of aces.

That was enough to force Lehu to muck, who then launched into a stream of muttering to himself loudly in French, seemingly highly frustrated by the river.
