2025 PokerStars Open Namur
Level: 14
Blinds: 1,000/2,500
Ante: 2,500
The players have been sent on their first 20-minute break of the day.
Dimitrios Loupakis limped from middle position, before Kully Sidhu raised to 6,500 from the hijack. Giovanni Ventura called in the cutoff, as did Stephan Perings in the big blind and Loupakis.
The J♦10♥7♠ flop was checked through to the 7♣ turn, where Loupakis fired out a bet of 6,000. Only Ventura called.
The K♥ river completed the board, and Loupakis downsized with a bet of 6,000, which Ventura called.
Loupakis showed 6♣6♦ for two pair sevens and sixes, but it was no good versus Ventura's A♦K♠, for the better rivered two pair.
Adrian Baltariu opened to 6,000 from the button, and received a call from Ziggy Baetens in the small blind, before Alexandru Danes reached for chips and four-bet jammed from the big blind for 55,500.
Baltariu went into the tank and took at least 90 seconds before folding, and Baetens quickly folded suit.
Panagiotis Mavritsakis was all-in for around 20,000 and at risk versus Giovanni Ventura.
Panagiotis Mavritsakis: A♣A♥
Giovanni Ventura: K♠7♠
Mavritsakis had the goods, and there were no surprises on the Q♠8♦Q♣2♦10♥ runout.
Cards were just being swept away, with Felix Pellizari getting up out of his chair and Jort Hagedoorn stacking chips, after his pocket queens hit a set against Pellizari's pocket tens.
David Docherty was through to Day 2 with a healthy stack of 147,000, but has unfortunately fallen ill and is in hospital awaiting kidney stone surgery.
Sending David our best wishes from everyone at PokerNews and wishing you a speedy recovery!
