Shahade Gets Caught
Matthew Golin opened to 1,200 on the button and Geraldine Milazzo-Rodriguez made the call in the small blind. Jen Shahade defended her big blind to see the 8♣4♦2♥ flop.
All three players checked and the dealer flipped over the Q♦ turn. Milazzo-Rodriguez checked to Shahade, who fired 2,000 into the middle. Golin folded while Milazzo-Rodriguez called.
Another check from Milazzo-Rodriguez followed the 9♣ river and Shahade bet 10,000, committing nearly all of her remaining stack.
After a moment, Milazzo-Rodriguez tossed in the call.
"You're good," said Shahade as she moved to muck her cards. Milazzo-Rodriguez tabled K♥Q♥ for top pair to claim the pot.
Shahade then got her last 3,200 in on the very next hand, seeing her 10♣9♣ come up short against K♥Q♠.
