Day 1d Started
It only took half of Friday’s opening flight to push the $1,100 Main Event past its guaranteed prize pool, as the registration numbers continue to impress at the inaugural PokerStars Open Philadelphia.
Today marks the last chance to earn a spot in the money, with Day 1d getting off to an early 10:15 a.m. local time start at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia.
Through the opening three flights, a total of 644 entries have already created a prize pool of $618,240. That list has been trimmed down to 82 remaining players, with the last group of Day 2 qualifiers set to join them tonight.
The overall chip leader is Norman Rodriguez, who collected 860,000 by then end of Day 1c. The pace-setter from Day 1b was George Alberto with 776,000 chips, while Michael Bohmerwald led the way after the opening flight with 719,000.

The schedule includes a dinner break after Level 9, while late registration will close at the start of Level 13. Players will try to navigate their way into the top 12.5%, at which point play will conclude and remaining stacks will be carried over to Day 2.

Donald Stahley opened to 300 in the cutoff and Vikrant Shah defended his big blind to see the Q♦5♥8♣ flop.
Both players checked to the 4♥ turn, where Shah check-called a bet of 500. Another check from Shah followed the 6♥ river, with Stahley checking behind.
"Ace-high," said Stahley as he tabled A♠3♠. Shah turned over A♣10♣, and the two players chopped an early pot.
