Some Big Stacks Before Break #2

Becker Doubles With a Boat

Blinds: 400/800

"zales08" kicked off the action with a raise to 1,600. Keith "whoopsboom" Becker called on the button, as did "TJ112298" in the small blind, and the flop ran down {j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Action checked to Becker, who fired 2,074. Only "TJ112298" called, and the {6-Diamonds} turn saw both players check.

The river was the {j-Diamonds}, and "TJ112298" fired 3,600. Becker wanted to play for it all, moving all in for just under 22,000, and "TJ112298" called with pocket eights. However, Becker showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a full house, earning the full double up.

"mdurich" Busts Porter

Blinds: 350/700

"mdurich" made it 1,400 to go under the gun, only to see Andrew "And_Porter" Porter three bet it to 3,500. "mdurich" four bet shoved for it all, and Porter called his final 17,000 total with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. However, he was dominated by the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} of "mdurich."

The board came down {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and the aces held to send Porter packing.

Shahde Vaults Near the Top of the Counts

Jennifer Shahade
Jennifer Shahade

Blinds: 300/600

"ZakulAE" raised it up to 1,350, a bet that was called by Jennifer "JenShahadePA" Shahade. The flop came down {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, and "ZakulAE" led for 1,800. Shahade called, and the {10-Clubs} hit the turn. "ZakulAE" continued the aggression with a bet of 2,400 but this time, Shahade bumped it up to 6,600. "ZakulAE" called, and the {3-Diamonds} came on the river.

After "ZakulAE" checked, Shahade moved all in, effectively for the 18,000 that "ZakulAE" had behind. They called with {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for top pair, but Shahade had turned a set with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, sending a nice pot over to Shahade.

Foresta Busts to Aces

Blinds: 250/500

After a raise to 1,100 from Andrew "And_Porter" Porter, Mark "NaigoPA" Foresta three bet it to 3,750 next to act. From the big blind, "usmc2doc13" moved all in for 26,813. Porter folded, but Foresta called his final 18,400 with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. However, he was dominated by the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} of "usmc2doc13."

The flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} gave "usmc2doc13" top set, and left Foresta drawing to running cards to survive. A six on the turn ended the hand.

Double Up For "RealizeRealLies"

Blinds: 250/500

"RealizeRealLies" raised to 1,000, and "swigger175" was the lone caller on the button. The flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} came down, and "RealizeRealLies" fired 1,500. "swigger175" moved all in, forcing "RealizeRealLies" to decide for their remaining 8,500. They called with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and were trailing the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} of "swigger175."

The {q-Spades} came right on the turn to leave "swigger175" drawing dead.

Flush For Shahade

Blinds: 150/300

Jennifer "JenShahadePA" Shahade bumped it up to 600 from under the gun, and on the button, "sawyer2117", reraised to 1,950. Shahade called, and the flop came down {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. Shahade check called a bet of 1,350, and both players would check the {8-Spades} turn.

The river brought the {8-Diamonds}, and Shahade fired 3,000 on the scary looking board. "sawyer2117" called, but had to muck when Shahade showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for an ace high flush.

Some Early Big Stacks

"jcsk8dc101" Knocks Out McNeil

Blinds: 100/200

Matt "Thewhitesmith" McNeil kicked off the action with a raise to 440, only to see "jcsk8dc101" three bet to 680 on the button. McNeil called, and the flop came down {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. McNeil check called a bet of 892, and the {10-Spades} hit the turn.

Another check saw "jcsk8dc101" fire 1,784, but McNeil check raised it this time to 7,137. "jcsk8dc101" called, and the {8-Hearts} came on the river. McNeil moved all in for just under 15,000, and "jcsk8dc101" called with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, which was better than the Ace-Queen shown by McNeil.
