PokerStars Home Games
PokerStars Home Games

PokerStars has launched a massive update to its Home Games product, making them available on the mobile app in addition to adding several new game formats.

Home Games have increased in popularity at PokerStars, as they make it possible for PokerStars’ players to create private clubs where they can run cash games and tournaments against friends, family, and anyone else who receives an invite code for the club.

Previously, Home Game players had to be at home, literally, because they were only available on the downloadable desktop PokerStars client. Now Home Games are available on the excellent mobile app, meaning players have more freedom than ever before when it comes to competing against their friends, being able to play poker on mobile as well.

Veldhuis Busts "likimoou"; Loses to Aleskins

Level 10 : 3,000/6,000, 750 ante

"GaryT20" raised to 12,000 and Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis just called to then see "likimoou" jam the cutoff, which just Veldhuis called.

"likimoou": {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

On a board of {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, Veldhuis made aces full to boost his stack back up to more than 900,000.

One hand later, Veldhuis clashed with Guntis "poker@luffyD" Aleskins when he raised preflop, then bet the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and fired another 72,000 on the {5-Hearts} turn. Aleskins smooth-called both times and they checked the {7-Spades} river. Veldhuis tabled {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a missed flushdraw and Aleskins had the best hand in {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Aleskins also won the next pot when he pushed Veldhuis out on the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} river and dragged in another 253,924.

Nearly even in chips and in a battle of the blinds, "Icestream" got it in with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} against the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} of Victor "VICTOR TXR1" Teixeira from one seat over. The {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board delivered both overcards to send "Icestream" to the rail and all other players of the table to a new home as it broke immediately.

Shortly after the blinds went up and Patrick "pads1161" Leonard also scored a knockout on a different table. The British poker pro raised to 15,000 first to act and called the shove of "Hoelle1" for 103,811 total in middle position.

"Hoelle1": {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Patrick "pads1161" Leonard: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

No ace or sufficient diamonds appeared on the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board as Leonard climbed the leaderboard.

David "deivid29" Tovar raised it up in the cutoff and then called the shove of short stack Joao "XxJoaoFeraxX" Otavio to set up the following coin flip.

Joao "XxJoaoFeraxX" Otavio: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
David "deivid29" Tovar: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} board was not without a sweat but Otavio missed out on the superior flushdraw and overcards.

Thomas "MarToMchat" Boivin raised to 10,800 from the cutoff and "vitkauskas98" three-bet to 20,000 on the button, which "MaTitheone" called in the small blind. Boivin responded with a four-bet shove for 227,091 and he was called by "vitkauskas98".

Thomas "MarToMchat" Boivin: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
"vitkauskas98": {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

There was no help at all on a {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades} board as Boivin became the next high-profile casualty, swiftly followed by other notables.

Kurganov, Martirosian and Filatov No More

Level 9 : 2,500/5,000, 625 ante

Nearly 200 players have been eliminated so far and among them were also Diego "Die Ventura" Ventura, Igor "lechuckpoker" Kurganov, Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker, Artur "marathur1" Martirosian, and Anatoly "NL_Profit" Filatov.

O'Dwyer's Turn to Double

Level 9 : 2,500/5,000, 625 ante

Soon after his double up, Lucas "YRWTHMELTHR" Greenwood raised to 11,000 from under the gun and Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer three-bet to 42,500 from the cutoff. Greenwood jammed it in and O'Dwyer beat him into the pot.

Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Lucas "YRWTHMELTHR" Greenwood: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board delivered no ace or other shenanigans as O'Dwyer earned the double.
