Quads for Silverman
Level 21
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Action was opened in early position to 35,000. It folded to Stephen Silverman in late position who flat called and the remaining players folded.
The K♥Q♥Q♣ flop hit the felt and the original raiser continued for 35,000. Silverman called.
The 8♣ hit the turn and action checked through to a K♠ river. The early position player checked and Silverman only went into the tank for a moment before betting 110,000. The early position player tanked but eventually called and got the bad news.
Silverman hit quads by playing trappy with K♦K♣ and got some much needed value on the river.
