Hall Gets to Showdown

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action was opened in middle position to 1,500. It folded around to Anthony Hall in the small blind who put in a three-bet to 6,000. The original raiser called.

The K45 landed on the flop and Hall led for 3,600. Middle position called.

The turn brought a 10 and Hall thought for a moment before continuing for 7,000. His opponent called again.

The 9 hit the river and Hall opted to slow down and check. His opponent thought about it but landed on a check-back.

Hall tabled JJ for a rivered flush and his opponent mucked.

Lots of Action for Al-Humaidi

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player limped under the gun followed by a raise to 1,200 in early position. Middle position called, Naji Al-Humaidi called in the cutoff, the button called, the big blind called, and the limper called. Six ways to a flop.

The QK3 landed and action quickly checked through to a 2 turn. It checked to the original raiser who put out a delayed continuation bet of 2,300. Middle position called, Al-Humaidi, and the big blind called.

The J hit the river and action checked to the player in middle position who went all in for 12,200. Al-Humaidi thought it over for a moment and then flicked in a call. The rest of the players folded and the cards hit their backs.

The middle position player tabled KJ for two pair and Al-Humaidi rolled over A10 for a rivered nut straight to drag in a healthy pot.

Disgusting River Card

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Robert Saladin
Robert Saladin

Action was opened in early position to 1,200. It folded all the way to Robert Saladin in the big blind who put in the cold three-bet to 3,700. The early position player called.

The 81010 flop hit the felt and Saladin continued for 3,000. The player in early position then put in a hefty raise to 10,000. Saladin didn't think for a moment before moving all in. His opponent gave a head nod and instantly put in the chips. Saladin got some bad news.

Early Position: 88
Robert Saladin: KK

Saladin was in bad shape going to the rest of the runout. The dealer put the 3 on the turn and then the K came out like a miracle on the river.

Saladin would win in disgusting fashion but he is now sitting close to the chip lead.

Stellwagon Puts the Pressure On

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Jeffrey Stellwagon
Jeffrey Stellwagon

Action was opened under the gun by local pro Jeff Stellwagon to 1,000. A player in middle position called, the cutoff called, and both of the blinds called.

The 462 flop hit the felt and action checked to the big blind who led out for 2,600. Stellwagon sat in the tank for a moment and stared down his opponent before putting in a raise to 7,000. The rest of the players got out of the way and action was back on the big blind.

They thought over their options for about a minute before eventually finding a fold.

Stellwagon took down the pot after some well-timed aggression paid off.

Moores Gets Aggressive

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

There was a limp to 400 under the gun by Sheri Moores. It then folded to a player in middle position who put in a raise to 1,500. The cutoff called, button called, and Moores completed.

The A74 flop hit the felt and action checked to middle position who continued for 2,200. Only Moores called.

The 8 landed on the turn and Moores checked again. The player in middle position put out another bet of 5,500. Moores went into the tank for a moment and then landed on a check-raise to the tune of 15,000. Her opponent thought it over for a while, and eventually landed on a fold.

Moores scooped a healthy pot to move above starting stack in these early levels of play.
