The action was heavy on Day 1a of Event #3: $2,200 No Limit Hold’em at the PokerStars Summer Series hosted by Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia. Day 1b starts today at 11:15 a.m. local time and it is expected to be no different.

This marks the third event of the exciting series that saw the first two weekends double the guaranteed prize pools. This tournament is off to a great start with two more flights to go and all signs pointing to the massive $500,000 guarantee being passed before Day 2 on Sunday.

Thursday's action included some notable names that have already advanced to Day 2, including Brian Altman, Joe McKeehen andFrank Funaro.

Each player starts with 50,000 in tournament chips. Levels will be 40 minutes long on Day 1, with 15-minute breaks every two hours. The schedule includes a 60-minute dinner break after Level 9, while late registration and reentries will be allowed until the start of Level 13. Day 1 concludes once 12.5 percent of the field remains.
