Bindra Goes For It

Jeremy Geist
Jeremy Geist
Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was an early position limp by Birjyot Bindra and action folded to a player in late position who raised to 4,000. Bindra called.

The 4♦3♦2♦ hit the flop and action checked to the preflop raiser who continued for 7,000. Action was back on Bindra who only took a moment before moving all in for 40,700. His opponent snap called.

Birjyot Bindra: A♦J♣
Late Position: J♦J♥

Bindra needed an ace or diamond and lucky for him there was no sweat as the 8♦ landed right on the turn. The river was a K♣ and just like that Bindra got the pure double.
