Grabel Gets Tricky with Altman

Action was opened in middle position by Kevin Grabel to 4,500. Next to act was Brian Altman who put in a three-bet to 12,500. Grabel called.

The A♣A♥5♣ flop landed and Grabel check called a 7,500 bet from Altman.

The turn brought a 2♠ and action quickly checked through to a J♠ river. Grabel didn't take long before leading out for a single big blind to 2,000. Altman sat in the tank for a moment and eventually just called the one big blind.

Grabel tabled A♠3♠ for flopped trips and Altman mucked. Grabel scooped after some tricky river play.

There was a late position open to 4,000 by Chan Kim. The next player to act three-bet to 10,000 and Kim called.

The Q♦9♠10♦ flop hit the felt and action checked to the three-bettor who continued for 9,300. Kim took a moment and then moved all in for 32,000.

His opponent was in the blender and clearly had a tough choice. After about a minute he put in the call and got the bad news.

Kim had his opponent drawing thin and the turn J♦ and river 5♣ brought no help. He would scoop after being on the right side of a cooler.

There was an open from under the gun to 3,500. It folded all the way to Sameer Batra in the big blind who took a moment before putting in the rest of his stack for about 11,700. His opponent didn't think long before putting in the chips and going to a full board.

Batra stood up, put on his backpack and said "lets wrap it up, time to go." before the full board ran out Q♦A♣8♣8♦6♣. Batra would scoop after giving his opponent a little anti-sweat.

There was an under the gun limp, the cutoff limped, the small blind limped, and it was on Grant Wang in the big blind. He took a moment and then put in the squeeze to 5,100. Only the player under the gun called.

The 8♠8♥7♠ flop was quickly checked through to a 6♦ turn. Once more the action checked through to a 8♦ river.

Wang was first to act and went into the tank for about a minute before moving all in having his opponent covered for about 10 times the pot.

His opponent thought it over for a moment but eventually found a fold after some well timed aggression from Wang.

There was an open in middle position to 3,500 followed by a few folds around to David Kazanjian in the cutoff, who put in a three-bet to 10,500. The original raiser was the only caller.

The 8♦3♦10♠ hit the felt and the middle position player led out for 10,000. Kazanjian didn't think for long before putting in the flop raise to 22,500. His opponent was in the tank for almost a minute before putting in the call.

The turn brought a 4♠ and it checked to Kazanjian again who continued for 16,100. His opponent called again.

The 9♠ landed on the river and action checked to Kazanjian again who took his time before announcing he was all in.

His opponent was covered and had a decision for his tournament life. Eventually he found a fold and the chips were pushed to Kazanjian. He smiled and showed the 10♥ before his cards hit the muck.

Patel Puts In the Four-Bet

After an early position open to 2,500, action folded to a player in middle position who put in a three-bet to 7,500. Akash Patel was in the small blind and took a moment before putting in the cold four-bet to the tune of 17,000.

Both of his opponents thought it over but eventually folded. This was coming on the back of three straight hands seeing three-bets. A ton of action in the room.

Patel scooped the pot without even seeing a flop.
