Levy Saved by the Flop

There was an under the gun limper followed by an open in late position by Simon Levy to 10,500. It folded to the big blind who put in a three-bet to 35,000. The limper folded and Levy sat in the tank for only a moment before announcing he was all in for about 122,000. His opponent snap called.

Levy was in rough shape until the dealer burned and turned the 4♥K♦4♣4♦6♣ board. With top boat Levy would scoop after getting some help from a cold deck.

No Chops for Huynh

Kenny Huynh opened in middle position to 6,000. The next player to act only waited a moment before moving all in for about 30,000. It folded back to Huynh who called and the cards hit their backs.

"Yea that hand is no good," Huynh joked as both players held the same hand.

Huynh may have known something that his opponent didn't as the full board ran out 10♥3♣4♣A♣8♠ and there would be no chops on his way to a scoop.

Action was opened in middle position by three-time bracelet winner Matt Matros to 5,100. Only the big blind called.

The 8♣6♠7♦ flop landed and action quickly checked through to a 4♠ turn. The big blind then led out for 5,500. Matros called.

The Q♠ hit the river and the big blind led out again for 12,400. Matros sat in the tank for almost two minutes before he grabbed enough chips to put his opponent all in and slid them forward. His opponent couldn't have folded any faster.

The pot went to Matros and he now holds a top five stack going into the last break before late registration ends.

Gomes-Pires Bets Big On River

There was a middle position open to 5,000 before Jediael Gomes-Pires called from the cutoff and the big blind completed.

The Q♠6♠3♦ flop landed and action checked to middle position who continued for 3,500. Gomes-Pires called and the big blind folded.

The J♣ turn hit the felt and action quickly checked through to a 6♣ river. The original raiser checked again and Gomes-Pires went into the tank for a moment before betting out for 17,500. His opponent thought it over but eventually folded and the pot was pushed to Gomes-Pires.
