Dvoress Doubles Through Sulsky

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante

Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress was down to 12,845 chips, but the Canadian just doubled up.

From the button Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky opened for 1,524 and Dvoress shoved from the small blind. Sulsky called and the card were on their backs.

Dvoress: {10-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Sulsky: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Dvoress needed some to hit to stay alive. The help he wanted came directly on the flop {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. The {10-Hearts} turn gave him to pair and when the {5-Spades} hit the felt on the river he doubled up.

Big Lead for Thuritz

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante

Mikael "ChaoRen160" Thuritz is slowly pulling away from the field. The Swede had over 90,000 chips now as he won a nice pot against Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi.

In a blind battle, Shakerchi completed and Thuritz checked his option. The flop brought {2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Shakerchi bet 1,017, only to see Thuritz raise to 2,823. Shakerchi made the call and the two players saw the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

Shakerchi check-called a bet of 3,721 and the {7-Clubs} fell on the river. Both players checked and Shakerchi showed {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a missed flush draw. Thuritz tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for just Queen-high but it was enough to win the hand.

Doug Polk Busted

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante
Doug Polk
Doug Polk

Jason Mercier just bought in for a second time, which makes Doug "WCG|Rider" Polk the first one to completely bust from the tournament. He started his last hand with 17,577 chips in the 250/500-level.

Under the gun Polk raised to 1,250 before Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit put in a 3-bet to 3,312. All other folded and Polk made the call.

He checked to Kanit on the {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop and the Italian continued for 3,115. Polk called leaving him with less than a pot size bet behind. He checked again when the {5-Clubs} hit the virtual felt on the turn. Kanit put Polk all in and he made the call.

Polk: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Kanit: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Polk was ahead with his pair of aces, but Kanit had an open ended straight draw and a flush draw. The {4-Spades} on the river gave him a straight and sent Polk to the rail.

Here They Are

Level 10 : 250/500, 75 ante

Only a couple of minutes before the end of the 5-hour late registration period a lot of new players showed up.

High Roller regulars such as Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz and last years $51,000 Super High Roller winner Ben "Ben86" Tollerene joined the tables.

Meanwhile Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov, who busted earlier, decided to give it another go.

Shakerchi Busts and Enters Again

Level 10 : 250/500, 75 ante

Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi just bought in for a second time, after he was busted by Mikael "Chaoren160" Thuritz.

Shakerchi started the hand with only 9,038 chips. Isaac Haxton raised under the gun to 1,075. Shakerchi thought for a little before he shoved. From the small blind it was Thuritz who made the call and Haxton quickly folded.

Shakerchi: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Thuritz: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

It was a race and Shakerchi was at risk and needed to hit to survive. The {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} was no help to him and the hedge fund manager busted his first barrel. He quickly bought in again for $102,000 to give it another shot.

Mercier's Exit Hand

Level 10 : 250/500, 75 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Jason Mercier started the hand before the break with only 6,757 in chips. He faced a minraise to 1,000 by Nikita 'fish2013' Bodyakovskiy and a call from Isaac Haxton on the button.

Mercier called from the small blind and the three players saw a {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. The PokerStars Pro shoved 5,682 in a 3,875-pot and Bodyakovskiy folded. Haxton called and the card were opened.

Mercier: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}
Haxton: {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Mercier was drawing to a straight and needed help against Haxton's top pair. The turn was the {10-Clubs} which gave Mercier a pair, but it didn't help much. The {a-Clubs} on the river gave Haxton a straight and Mercier was sent to the rail.
