Plenty of eyes firmly on Neymar in the $10,300 Super Tuesday High Roller at PokerStars WCOOP. The soccer superstar and ambassador reached the final seven of the 60-entry event, but his bid for a first major online poker title ended with a seventh-place finish for $26,111.

Day 2 began with Neymar returning as the short stack, while Pedro “PaDiLhA SP” Padilha and Ole “wizowizo” Schemion held the overnight chip lead. Neymar was the first to fall when play resumed, but the two leaders followed him to the rail shortly after in sixth and fifth place.

From there, the path cleared for Canada’s Guillaume “Nolet20” Nolet, who outlasted a tough final table to capture the $186,434 top prize and his third WCOOP title in as many years.

Among those chasing Nolet were UK businessman Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi, who banked $134,351 for second place, and Austria’s “[Removed:560],” who collected $96,818 for third. Online crusher Linus “LLinusLLove” Loeliger (4th – $69,771) also fell short of adding to his already impressive online résumé.
