Shawn “buck21” Buchanan is back in the WCOOP winner’s circle after nearly two decades. Buchanan topped a 290-entry field in the $1,050 Super Tuesday (WCOOP 17-M) to claim $55,354 and his second career WCOOP title.

Buchanan’s previous WCOOP win came all the way back in 2007, when he captured the $530 Pot-Limit Omaha event for $97,263. This latest victory is also his first COOP title of any kind since 2016, and brings his overall tally to eight COOP titles: six from SCOOP and now two from WCOOP.

The $290,000 prize pool was shared among some of the toughest names in the game. "chrisgoataui" finished runner-up for $41,473, while Alexandros “Pwndidi” Theologis claimed third place for $31,072.
