Third WCOOP Win of the Series of Wilson After Heads-Up Deal
Andy “BowieEffect” Wilson has been unstoppable at this year’s World Championship of Online Poker, adding another trophy to his growing collection in the $1,050 NLHE (WCOOP 77-H).
Wilson struck a heads-up deal with Finland’s Tomi “elmerixx” Brouk, who was denied a second WCOOP title and instead had to settle for $42,915, while Wilson walked away with $47,568 and the winner’s accolade.
The result gives Wilson his third victory of the 2025 series and the fifth WCOOP title of his career.
His first triumph this fall came in the WCOOP 56-H: $1,050 NLHE 6-Max Progressive KO, where he banked $39,871. On Monday, he added a second victory in the WCOOP 81-H: $530 NLHE 6-Max Turbo PKO, collecting $26,315. Now, by winning the $1,050 NLHE, he has completed a remarkable hat-trick of titles in a single series, all coming in $1,050 buy-in events!
