The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker 2020 (WCOOP) continues with the second five-digit buy-in of the festival as WCOOP-16-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, High Roller] will get underway at 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). A guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 is featured in this tournament and some of the biggest names of the world of online and live poker are expected to join the action.
From each $10,300 buy-in, $5,000 will go towards the bounty prize pool whereas $5,000 are awarded in the cash prize pool. For each player they knock out, participants will receive at least $2,500 and especially in the later stages of this progressive knockout tournament this amount will be far bigger.
All players start with 250,000 in chips and the levels throughout the entire event last 20 minutes each. During the late registration period which lasts four hours and 40 minutes, up to three re-entries can be purchased. As of one hour prior to the start, five MTT schedules were scheduled with a total of 16 seats guaranteed, which will provide an influx of new entries a few hours into the action.
Some of the early champions of this WCOOP festival include Ben "Spraggy" Spragg, Ludovic Geilich, Chris Oliver, Yuri Dzivielevski, Ludovic Geilich and Dimitar Danchev. Stay tuned to find out if any of them will take another shot at glory.
Day 1 will play down to the money bubble and as soon as that one bursts, all remaining survivors will then bag up their virtual chips for the night and return the following day at 1.05 p.m. EST in order to play down to a champion.
The PokerNews live reporting team will provide all the action from start to finish, and the final day will also be broadcasted with commentary and cards-up coverage on a delay of at least 20 minutes on the PokerStars Twitch channel.
