The $100 million guaranteed World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) progressed to second week at PokerStars.
Some of the biggest names in poker will be in action today as the WCOOP-34-H: $25,000 Super High Roller] features the largest buy-in of the festival.
The two-day event guarantees at least a $3 million prize and comes on the heads of another big buy-in event just completing with Brazil's Pedro "PadiLhA SP" Padilha defeating fellow countrymate Pablo "pabritz" Brito heads-up in the WCOOP-14-H: $10,300 NLHE High Roller with both players banking over $200,000 thanks to the duo agreeing to a heads-up deal.
The Super High Roller is a deep-stacked affair with all players beginning with 250,000 in chips. The blinds will slowly at every 20 minutes on Day 1 starting at 1,200/2,400/300a. Players can re-enter three times during the long late registration period which last is available for the first 325 minutes of play.
Day 1 of this event will play down until the money is reached. Those advancing to the final day will resume their battle until a winner is declared on Monday, Aug 30 at 5:05 GMT.
PokerStars Ambassadors Lex "L. Veldhius" Veldhuis and Mason "Pye_Face21" Pye were among the players to register at least an hour before the action was scheduled to begin. They will be joined by Niklas "lena900" Astedt, Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson, Vlad "dariepoker" Darie, and many other of the stars of poker.
Pye is not normally a name the poker world is used to seeing in $25K events. He will give today a shot for free, while also streaming the action to his Twitch fans, thanks to winning the PokerStars Ambassador SNG.

"Trana7" bet 10,770 after the action was checked to them. "Kohlrabi7" folded before Greewood check-raised to 36,000. "Trana7" called and Greenwood checked the turn. "Trana7" jammed for 280,420 and Greenwood called off for 208,420.

Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis opened for 6,240 from the lojack and was called by Mason "Pye_Face21" Pye from the cutoff, "Hy_3DpAcTe" from the small blind, and "tomlaar" from the big blind.
The action checked to Veldhuis on the flop and he bet 6,000. Pye called, "Hy_3DpAcTe" folded, and "tomlaar" called. Veldhuis bet 36,000 on the turn. Pye called and "tomlaar folded.
The river completed the board and Pye called a bet of 58,800 by Veldhuis. Veldhuis turned over for a flush and won the pot after Pye mucked his hand.

Mateos check-raised the flop from 8,924 to 24,000 and Rolle called. Rolle then called a bet of 20,236 on the turn before the completed the board on the river.
Mateos bet 51,914 and Rolle jammed for 211,889. Mateos made the call and turned over for an ace-high flush. Rolle had a bare pair of rockets with and re-entered after the hand.
