Austria's Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph leads the field of nine remaining players at the end of Day 1 in the WCOOP-80-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, High Roller], $750K Gtd as part of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). The PKO tournament attracted 106 entrants and smashed the guarantee with a prize pool of $1.1 million.

Rudolph is looking for his third WCOOP title after taking down the WCOOP 24-H: $2,100 NLHE in August for $71,404, in addition to winning the $215 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] in 2018 for $130,598. Other players who made it through Day 1 include Andras "probirs" Nemeth, Pedro "pvigar" Garagnani, Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski and PokerStars ambassador Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis.

Day 1 Action

The high roller tournament attracted a field of elite players, including Wiktor "Iimitless" Malinowski, Joao "Naza114" Vieira and Bruno "great dant" Volkmann, who is fresh off a win in the WCOOP 63-H: $10,300 NLHE for $331,595.

PokerStars Team Online players Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand, Ben "Spraggy" Spragg and Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle all made deep runs in the tournament. Rolle fared the best of the three players and busted in 16th place.

"kZhh" was eliminated on the money bubble in 14th place after their two-pair didn't stand up to an opponent's full house. Eder "edercampana" Campana was the first player out in the money for an $11,236 prize and $8,750 in bounties after his king-jack couldn't get there against the opponent's ace-eight.

Day 1 broke after over eight hours of play when "ludako123" busted in 10th place after their ace-ten was no good against the pocket sevens of Thomas "MarToMchat" Boivin.

Day 2 will begin on Sept. 11 at 5:05 p.m. GMT. Top prizes in the high roller tournament include $107,949 for both first and second, $71,991 for third and $55,272 for fourth.

Thomas "MarToMchat" Boivin opened to 140,000 in the hijack and got called by Pedro "pvigar" Garagnani in the cutoff and Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph on the button. "ludako123" decided to squeeze in the big blind and raised to 1.2 million with just over 13,000 behind. Boivin re-shoved and everyone but "ludako123" folded.
