Today's Action

With all those extra entries, the tournament kicked off with 2,826 players who would all be trying to fight their way to the top 959 as that would mean that they would cash for at least $1,123. The players dropped like flies on the road to the money.

PokerStars Ambassador's Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis, Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot, Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes, were just some of the players to bust before the first break of the day but it didn't stop there, as the eliminations kept at a quick pace.

One by one players fell and three hours after the tournament had started, the bubble burst after "TravisPay666" was eliminated in Level 25.

Clifford Ellefson & Chris_Moneymaker & Ben Spragg
Ben Spragg finished in 185th place for $2,589

With 958 players remaining, only four PokerStars Ambassadors were left in the field with Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas being the first to fall he was straightened out on the river (459th place - $1,607).

Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban lasted a few levels longer until he was out-kicked by "imGROOOOOT" (408th place - $1,810) and Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle fell shortly after holding a pair of sixes (378th place - $1,810). Ben "Spraggy" Spragg was the last of the survivors but his luck ran out after failing to crack a pair of sixes.

From there, it would take just over three more hours for the field to be reduced to the final 79 players and those players will return for Day 3 at 5:05 p.m. GMT on Tuesday, September 14.

The returning players will finish the last of Level 38 which has a small blind of 125,000, a big blind of 250,000 with a running ante of 32,500 and will play until the final table has been reached.

All players have secured at least $3,423 but they will all be wanting to reach the final table where they will win at least $36,601, while the first-place comes with a prize of $549,008 and PokerNews will be there from the first bustout throughout the climb through the pay ladder so make sure to follow along.

"Perfect1232": {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Ben "Spraggy" Spragg: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Spragg was trailing his opponents pocket pair and the {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop didn't change a thing.

The {5-Hearts} turn paired Spragg but it also gave "Perfect1232" a gutshot straight draw and the {3-Hearts} river completed it, ending Spragg's tournament in 185th place for $2,589.
