Day 3 Action

The action was thick and fast at the beginning of the day with many players busting early doors including online grinder Ami "UhhMee" Barer and "$eT4x4" who came back as a top five stack today.

During level 36 (80,000/160,000/20,000) the action heated up with the field reducing from 24 to 12 in this 20 minute level alone. Miguel "CambadaDeMixos" Lopes came into day 3 third in chips but busted in 22nd ($15,742) when his shove got called by the eventual chip leader. Online crusher Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson also fell this level, in 20th ($15,742) when three-bet all-in but walked into the monster of "TiberiusA"

"luckyluck653" was the unfortunate final table bubble when his ace-queen couldn't outdraw the aces of "BernardoDG" and he bowed out in 10th for a payday of $31,485.

The final 9 players will be back tomorrow, 9 November, at 17:30 GMT and will play down until a winner is crowned. They currently have $44,527 locked up but all will be looking for the top prize of $712,429. Play will resume at 500,000/1,000,000 with an ante of 125,000.

Be sure to tune in here with the PokerNews live reporting team for updates on the final table as it happens.

Playing five-handed Ryan "planty07/08" Plant opened in the hijack to 2,000,000, "luckyluck653" three-bet to 6,000,000 from the seat along and "BernardoDG" four-bet to 13,500,000 from the button. The blinds folded and the action was back to Plant who folded. "luckyluck653" thought for a while before deciding to five-bet all in for 37,983,450 and "BernardoDG" snap-called putting "luckyluck653" at risk.

"luckyluck653": {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
"BernardoDG": {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and "luckyluck653" was on the wrong side of the cooler busting in 10th place and taking the unfortunate accolade of the final table bubble.

Action folded to "TiberiusA" in the small blind who shoved his remaining 5,816,741 chips into the middle. "paoronaldo", thought for a while, before making the call from the big blind, putting "TiberiusA" at risk.

"TiberiusA": {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
"paoronaldo": {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades} giving "paoronaldo" the up and down straight draw but "TiberiusA" was still in front with ace high.

The {a-Diamonds} turn improved "TiberiusA" to a pair of aces and now just needed to avoid a six or jack to double.

That {j-Hearts} river improved "paoronaldo" to the straight and saw the field reduce to 10.

Florian "Gaugi444" Gaugusch Eliminated in 13th ($22,263)

Florian "Gaugi444" Gaugusch opened to 1,400,000 from middle position and action folded around to Ryan "planty07/08" Plant, in the big blind, who called.

The dealer fanned a {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop and Plant check-called the 960,000 continuation bet of Gaugusch.

The turn was the {4-Hearts}, bringing in the flush draw, and Plant check-called the 3,360,000 bet from Gaugusch.

The river was the {k-Spades} and Plant checked for the third time. Gaugusch thought for a moment befoer going all-in for his remaining 11,054,220 and Plant called.

Gaugusch showed {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the second nut flush but it was no match for Plants nut flush with the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Plant is now the chip leader with 12 left and Gaugusch is left thinking about what might have been.
