After almost seventeen hours on the third day of the 2020 Potomac Winter Poker Open Day 1c and 1d of the $400 Opening Event has come to an end in the MGM National Harbor Grand Ballroom. Day 1c attracted 338 entries and 40 players made the money while Day 1d collected 268 entries with 32 players cashing. Making it through to Day 2 to claim a bigger share of the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool were 27 players from Day 1c and 21 survivors after Day 1d.

This means that 980 entries have already been collected with 77 players returning on Sunday, February 9 together with whoever survives the final two starting flights. Currently in the lead is Day 1c chip leader Michele Lawson with a whopping 1,116,000 in chips. She is joined by Ryan Tamanini (825,000) and Christopher Grove (681,000) on the Day 1c podium.

Day 1d chip leader Justin Vioral will come back on Day 2 with 892,000 in chips which is good for second place in the overall chip count leaderboard for now. Faisal Siddiqui (680,000) and Dustin Semonavick were the only other two players to have bagged above the 600,000-mark.

PokerNews will be back at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 8 for the coverage of the final two starting flights, Day 1e and 1f so make sure to come back for all the updates from the floor.
