Vioral Bursts the Bubble

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Justin Vioral

The dealers were instructed to hold up and pause as the tournament had approached the bubble with 33 players but one table was still in action. The player in the middle position had shoved for around 50,000 and was called by Justin Vioral in the small blind with the bigger stack.

Middle Position: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Justin Vioral: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for the player in the middle position to hit a pair of queens.

The turn was the {5-Spades} which didn't change things but the {a-Hearts} on the river gave Vioral the higher pair to eliminate the other player and ensure that no hand-for-hand play was needed as he burst the bubble.
