Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ryan Tamanini
Ryan Tamanini

Ryan Tamanini raised to 22,000 from the early position and was called by the small blind and Thomas Obermeyer in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades}, it was checked to Tamanini who continued with a bet to put both of his opponents all-in. The player in the small blind looked at his cards once more before making the call for around 60,000 while Obermeyer opted to fold.

Small Blind: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Ryan Tamanini: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Tamanini was ahead with the higher kicker.

The turn brought them the {2-Diamonds} which didn't change things and neither did the {5-Spades} on the river as Tamanini added more chips to his stack.

Peter Valenti
Peter Valenti

The player in the middle position raised to 20,000 and Peter Valenti defended his big blind.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Valenti checked and his opponent shoved for 55,000. Valenti snap-called and the cards could go on their backs once the action was completed on the other tables.

Bubble Boy: {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Peter Valenti: {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Valenti had flopped top pair and those held throughout the {2-Spades} on the turn and the {a-Diamonds} on the river to burst the bubble.

Lawson Seems Unstoppable

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Marc Plows
Marc Plows

Marc Plows raised to 15,000 from the cutoff and Michele Lawson three-bet to 45,000 from the big blind. Plows responded with a four-bet to 115,000 which Lawson called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Lawson checked for Plows to shove and her to call.

Marc Plows: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Michele Lawson: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Plows had the overpair but Lawson had hit a set on the flop.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} which brought the open-ended straight draw on the board for them to possibly split the pot but the river completed the board with the {9-Hearts} for Lawson to improve to a full house to send Plows to the rail in 42nd place without any money.

Scott Davis

The board read {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} when Scott Davis bet 30,000 from the small blind and was called by the big blind while the third player got out of their way.

The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs} and Davis now bet 55,000. He was called again and showed {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the flush which was enough to get his opponent to muck his own hand.

Action Slowed Down

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

After the break, 46 players returned and one busted to reduce the field to 45. With 40 players getting paid, most of them will take it a bit slower to try and get themselves into the money stages while others will be trying to put the pressure on.
