Welcome to Day 1f — the sixth and final starting flight of Event #1: $400 Mystery Bounty!

Yesterday, Day 1c and Day 1d were played to completion — with Gabe Gonzales (746,000) and Aaron Wright (952,000) bagging the chip leads of their flights respectively. Between Days 1a, b, c, and d, the event has gathered 1,355 entries so far with more to come. Of those entrants, 107 went on to bag for Day 2. Day 1e, which began earlier today, is up to 605 entries at the time of this post.

Cards will be in the air at 5 p.m. local time. Players will begin with 25,000 in tournament chips with blinds starting at 100/100 and a 100 big-blind ante. All Day 1 levels will last 30 minutes and players may re-enter until the beginning of level 12. Players will reach the money once 10% of the field remains and play will continue until 8% of the field remains, whereupon the surviving players will bag and tag for Day 2. All Day 1 payouts are fixed at $500 and all Day 2 payouts will exceed $500.

Additionally, all surviving players who make it to Day 2 will be designated as a mystery bounty. From that point on, any player who knocks another player out of the tournament will be given a mystery bounty receipt, which can then be redeemed at the mystery bounty redemption table. Each receipt can range in value anywhere from the lowest prize of $50 all the way up to the top prize of $25,000.

Day 2 will begin on Sunday, January 29th at 12 p.m. and feature increased 45-minute levels. The Day 2 tournament clock will begin at the shortest time played in any one of the previous flights. Play on Day 2 will continue until a winner is determined.

Yercy Salcedo was already all in from the small blind against a lone opponent in the cutoff on a {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop.

Small blind: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Yercy Salcedo: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Salcedo had flopped trip jacks and had his opponent drawing slim.

The {5-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river maintained Salcedo's lead and he doubled up while leaving his opponent with crumbs.

Kelly Shows a Queen

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

A player opened to 600 from early position and was three-bet to 3,000 by Glenn Kelly from middle position. The player in the small blind cold called and the original raiser called as well.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and the small blind led out for 2,500. The player in early position folded and Kelly called.

It was checked to Kelly on the {6-Hearts} turn and he announced a bet of 9,500. His opponent folded after a bit of thought and Kelly told his opponent he could pick a card to reveal. After doing so, Kelly flipped over a {q-Clubs} as he scooped the pot.

Murthy Takes One Down

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The under-the-gun player opened to 500 and was called by Neel Murthy in the cutoff and both blinds.

It was checked to the original raiser on the {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, who continued for 1,200. Murthy called, the small blind folded and the big blind called.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the turn and it was again checked to the original preflop raiser, who bet 1,500. This time, Murthy raised to 3,700 and the big blind called cold. The initial bettor folded.

Both players checked down on the {a-Hearts} river and Murthy showed {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for two pair. It was good against the {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} of the big blind and Murthy scooped the pot.
