Day 1f of Event #1: $400 Mystery Bounty has come to an end with Gordon McKenzie emerging on top after bagging 609,000 in chips. McKenzie's chip lead was thanks part to a crazy three-way all-in on the stone bubble wherein he eliminated two players at once. Trailing McKenzie for Day 1f is Nick Chow (570,000), Marshall Roof (569,000), and Alexander Wright (537,000).

Day 1f began with 125 players and that number continued to rise until the end of late registration for a final count of 463. Between all six flights, Event #1: $400 Mystery Bounty attracted 2,457 total entries, which is more than enough to cover the $500k guarantee.

Several notables tried to secure a Day 2 birth but fell short, including WSOP-bracelet winner Yaser Al-Keliddar, Justin Arnwine, and Jay Jin, who was part of the money bubble for the second time this event after bubbling Day 1b. As mentioned, the money bubble burst in an unforgettable hand that saw three players holding aces, kings, and queens respectively get all-in preflop, with aces holding for a double KO. A third player also busted on the bubble at a different table after Evan Kochav (219,000) rivered a flush against him.

It took less than a level for an additional seven players to bust and end play for the day with 36 survivors. In total, there were 193 players that made it to Day 2 between the six starting flights.

A recap of the day will be posted shortly.

Three Players Bust to Burst The Money Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Gordon McKenzie bursts the money bubble
Gordon McKenzie bursts the money bubble

Two players busted simultaneously on one table and another player busted on a different table, causing a three-way bubble.

On the first table, Gordon McKenzie limped from under-the-gun and and a short-stacked player shoved for their last 65,000 from the cutoff. Jay Jin called on the button and action folded back to McKenzie, who then shoved for around 200,000. Jin went deep into the tank, but eventually committed his stack for less for a three-way all in.

Gordon McKenzie: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Jay Jin: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Cutoff: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The top three hands in Hold'em had run into each other, and the {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs} runout kept McKenzie best — allowing him to scoop the sizable pot while eliminating two opponents.

At the same time on the second table, a very short-stacked player committed their last 6,000 from under-the-gun and action folded to Evan Kochav in the cutoff, who raised to 58,000. Everyone else folded and hands were tabled.

Evan Kochav: {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Under-the-gun: {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The dealer brought a {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs} runout — giving Kochav a flush on the river to KO his opponent.

As a result of the unusual circumstance, Jay Jin took a full $500 min-cash for having the largest stack of the players that busted and the other two players split $500 between them.

Brazdeikis Busts One as Bubble Draws Near

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The player in the cutoff shoved for a bit less than 100,000 and Lukas Brazdeikis also went all in on the button. Everyone else folded and hands were revealed.

Cutoff: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Lukas Brazdeikis: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Brazdeikis had his opponent dominated, and the {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} runout kept Brazdeikis out in front for the knockout.
