Welcome back to the Peppermill Resort Hotel and the 2016 Run It Up Reno festival hosted by Jason Somerville for Event 10: $235 Mix-Max No-Limit Hold'em!

Over recent years, mix-max tournament poker has become more popular and consequently has been making regular appearances on poker schedules around the world. Here at Run It Up Reno, the players have spoken and the staff have listened as it makes it's debut following an absence in 2015.

The tournament will be run as a standard no-limit hold'em tournament until just 48 players remain, from there play will switch to six-handed poker until 24 players remain. From there play will be four-handed until 8 players remain and then the tournament will finish under a heads-up format.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on the floor providing updates from 4:00 p.m. PDT of all the Mix-Max action here from Run It Up Reno.

Play Underway

The cards are in the air for the Mix-Max with blinds at 50/100!

Players will begin with 16,000 in tournament chips and endure 20-minute levels until six-handed play is reached and levels will switched to 30-minutes.

The registration and re-entry period will end after level 10 (approximately 7:30 p.m. PDT).

With Day 1b of the Main Event in full swing, the majority of our focus will on that, so feel free to take full advantage of the MyStack App.

Bouchard Leading as Four-Handed Play Begins

Just 12 players remain, and they've gone down to three four-handed tables.

Raphael Bouchard busted Kevin Martin after the PokerStars Team Online Pro shoved over a raise and a call of 5,200 for about 25,000. Bouchard, who had flatted, put him at risk after the opener folded.

Bouchard: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Martin: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Martin called for a crab but the board ran out dead for both players.
