Gorenc Flashes a Card, Gets a Penalty

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

A player in the small blind bet 2,000 on a board of {9-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}, and Marty Gorenc called on the button. The small blind checked the {a-Spades} river, and Gorenc turned his hand in a 360, appearing to flash at least one of his cards, before tossing a T5,000 chip in. The small blind asked for the floor to be called, and the ruling was a one-hand penalty for Gorenc but the bet would stand.

The small blind was less than pleased with this ruling, as he said he saw at least one card that was a club, and he believed Gorenc had tabled his hand. Nonetheless, the small blind mucked and Gorenc took the pot.

Three-Bet Pot to Carter

Level 6 : 200/400, 75 ante

After an under-the-gun open to 800, Buzz Carter went to 2,200 in middle position. The small blind looked like she was cutting out raising chips but cold-called, and the opener mucked. On the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, the small blind checked and immediately laid down to a bet of 3,500 from Carter.
