Hill Ousts Thursday Thrilla Champ Sleeth

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Ashley Sleeth
Ashley Sleeth

Lucas Hill raised to 2,500 from the hijack, and Ashley Sleeth three-bet to 7,500 from the cutoff. Hill four-bet jammed to put Sleeth at risk for her last 32,000, and she called off after a short stint in the tank.

Ashley Sleeth: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Lucas Hill: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Hill's heater continued, as the {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board failed to deliver a jack for Sleeth.

Sanchez Snaps Off Triple Barrel Bluff

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Four players went to a {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop. The under-the-gun player bet, Albert Sanchez called on his direct left, and the other two players folded.

The under-the-gun player continued with another bet on the {4-Spades} turn, and Sanchez called again. Sanchez' opponent got his last 30,000 chips in on the {10-Diamonds} river, and Sanchez went into the tank.

After a few moments, Sanchez made the call, and it was indeed the correct play, as Sanchez' {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} was the winner against the opponent's {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The pot brought Sanchez to the 150,000 mark.

Burton at 2x Starting Stack

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jaman Burton
Jaman Burton

An under-the-gun player limped, Jaman Burton completed on the small blind, and the big blind checked.

Burton checked the {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop, the big blind led out for 3,000, the under-the-gun player folded, and Burton called.

The big blind bet 6,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn, and Burton folded. Despite losing a few chips in that pot, the poker vlogger Burton has more than two times the starting stack as Level 8 plays on.

Morrell Binks His Draw Twice

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Gerald Morrell got his last 32,300 in chips in from the big blind on a {7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop, and was at risk against Marty Gorenc in the hijack.

Gerald Morrell: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Marty Gorenc: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Gorenc's top pair needed to fade a bunch of outs from Morrell's straight and flush draws to hold on, but the {8-Spades} turn filled Morrell's straight. Gorenc could chop the pot with a nine on the river, but the {2-Diamonds} actually improved Morrell further to a flush and earned him the double.

Mann Fills Up on the River

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Four players went to the {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop. Action checked to David Mann under the gun, who bet 3,000. Jamie Kerstetter called in the small blind, as did Albert Sanchez in the big blind.

The turn came {a-Diamonds}, action checked to Mann again, and he stayed the aggressor with an 8,000 bet. Kerstetter called, and Sanchez folded.

The river came {a-Spades}, and Kerstetter check-called an 11,600 bet from Mann. Mann turned over {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, good for aces full of nines.

Epstein Commanding a Stack

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

2019 $10,000 WSOP Short Deck Bracelet winner Alex Epstein's stack just zoomed up over the six-figure mark, and a player at the table shared the events leading up to his chip stack increasing to its current point.

Epstein held {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} against an opponent with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. A {10-}{10-}{9-Hearts} flop and a {k-Hearts} turn led to all the chips getting in the pot with the straight flush draw up against trip tens. A {5-Hearts} on the river sent Epstein's stock soaring and his opponent to the rail.
