Camou Doubles Through Hughes

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Daniel Hughes raised to 14,000 from the hijack, then quickly called a three-bet shove for 54,000 from Andy Camou on the button.

Andy Camou: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Daniel Hughes: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Camou binked the {2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop for a set, and Hughes couldn't catch up on the {q-Spades} turn or {6-Diamonds} river to earn Camou a double.

While PokerNews is focused on bringing you live updates from the $600 Main Event, we also wanted to share some winner news from earlier in the Run It Up Reno IX. There have been several champions crowned at the Peppermill, and tens of thousands of dollars awarded.

On such tournament was the $125 2, 3, 4, 5 Mix, which was played with a rotation of no-limit hold’em, three-card super hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and five-card PLO8. The tournament attracted 133 runners and offered up a $12,901 prize pool.

That was paid out to the top 21 players, and some of those to cash but fall short of making the final table were Tim Duckworth (9th - $390), Jim Petzing (16th - $250), John Caldwell (20th - $200), and Steven Filipovic (21st - $100).

In the end, it was Stuart Kerridge of Stouffville, Ontario, Canada coming out on top to win the title and accompanying $2,786 first-place prize.

Sanchez Sends Delatore Out

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Rachel Delatore, Voislav Ivanovski and Albert Sanchez went three ways to a {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop.

All three players checked, bringing the {3-Diamonds} on the turn. Delatore, in middle position, went all in for 123,000. Ivanovski folded in the cutoff, and Sanchez thought it over for awhile before putting in the call from the button.

Rachel Delatore: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Albert Sanchez: {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Sanchez was ahead with top pair, with Delatore looking for one of her overcards, or a diamond, to hit. A diamond did come on the river, but it was the {7-Diamonds}, giving Sanchez the full house and rendering Delatore's flush no good.

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Max Young open raised from early position, and DJ Fenton and Loren Klein called from the blinds.

Action checked to Young on the {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop, and he bet 26,000, with only Fenton calling.

Fenton check-called a 58,000 bet from Young on the {8-Hearts} turn. The river came {2-Diamonds}, Fenton checked, Young bet 130,000, and Fenton folded.

Delatore Catches Her Ace

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Rachel Delatore opened to 17,000 under the gun, Paul Sampson called from the small blind, and Alex Epstein called in the big blind.

Both blinds checked on the {2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop, and Delatore went all in with her remaining 94,000. Sampson folded, and Epstein called.

Rachel Delatore: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Alex Epstein: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Epstein's top pair was ahead on the flop, and the turn came {9-Diamonds}. The river, however, brought in the {a-Spades} for Delatore, giving her top pair and sending the pot her way.

Tassone Doubles Through Jenkins

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Nicola Tassone jammed his last 17,000 in from middle position, and Michael Jenkins called in the big blind.

Nicola Tassone: {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Michael Jenkins: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Tassone got no help on the {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop, but did pick up a few outs on the {6-Hearts} turn. The {a-Spades} hit the river, giving Tassone two pair, and he told Jenkins, "Hey, at least it was only 17,000!" before bringing in the double.

Raoofi First to Fall

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Peter Rabover raised to 10,000 from middle position, and Arash Raoofi three-bet shoved for 36,000 next to act. Rabover called.

Arash Raoofi: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Peter Rabover: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Raoofi found gin on the {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, giving him the nut straight and a straight flush draw. Rabover was still plenty live with a gutshot and a bigger flush draw, and the {10-Spades} turn gave Rabover the queen-high straight, and left Raoofi looking for the {6-Diamonds} to win or a queen to chop. The {10-Hearts} river was of no consequence, and Raoofi headed to collect his winnings.
