In a battle of the blinds, Arlie Brandvold got it all in preflop in the small blind for 367,000 against Richard Gamez in the big blind who had slightly less.
Arlie Brandvold: A♥A♣
Richard Gamez: 8♦8♣
The flop came Q♦6♠Q♠ with Brandvold's aces still out in the lead. The turn landed the Q♣, locking up the win for him and the meaningless 10♣ rolled off on the river.
Matthew Alexander was involved in a three-way all in with the covering stack against Lucas Christoffer and Ryan Thorson who both had over 450,000 to start the hand.
Ryan Thorson: 9♠9♦
Lucas Christoffer: A♥Q♣
Matthew Alexander: K♠K♦
The flop came 7♦6♥8♠ with Thorson picking up an open-ended straight draw. Alexander was able to fade the deck when the board ran out 4♠, 3♥ to scoop the massive pot and knock out both of his opponents.
On the first hand of the day, Richard Perkerewicz got it all in preflop in the small blind against Joseph Osterbauer in the big blind who had the covering stack.
Richard Perkerewicz: A♥A♦
Joseph Osterbauer: A♠K♣
Perkerewicz was a big favorite to find an early double up, until the dealer put out the K♠9♥K♦ flop, improving Osterbauer to trip kings.
The 6♠ turn and 9♣ river offered no help to Perkerewicz and he was sent to the payout desk.
