Mize's Flush is Good
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 0 ante
The under-the-gun player raised to 900 and was called by Kelly Shapp in middle position and Dave Mize in the hijack.
The flop came J♥10♠4♠ and the under-the-gun player checked. Shapp bet 2,000 and only Mize continued.
The turn landed the J♠ and Shapp check-called a bet of 5,000 from Mize, bringing the 5♠ river.
With four spades on the board, Shapp fired out a bet of 10,000 and Mize shook his head before making the call and throwing two 5,000 denomination chips towards Shapp.
Shapp turned over J♣8♣ for three of a kind, jacks, while Mize tabled 8♠7♠ for a flush.
"That was a horrible river, could have been worse I guess," said Mize as he dragged in the pot.
