Day 1b Completed
Action has concluded in Flight B of the RPT Montana State Poker Championship here at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center after 15 levels of play. Of the 166 runners who started the day, only 23 players will return for the Championship Day on Sunday.
Rob Hium emerged as the overwhelming chip leader of Flight B, bagging an impressive 1,259,000. He is no stranger to the Roughrider Poker Tour, having taken down the 2023 Spring Poker Showdown for a career-best $23,220. He will enter the Championship Day as the overall chip leader and will look to leverage his stack in search of another big payday.
Finishing Flight B second in chips is Will Anderson, sitting just shy of a million with 954,000. Right behind him is Chris Dangerfield with 931,000 who rounds out the podium.

Play has concluded for the day and the remaining 25 players are bagging up their chips.
They will return for the Championship Day on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. local time.
The floor has announced that each of the remaining tables will play three more hands before players bag up for the evening.
Justin Fowler open jammed from early position for 37,000 to out himself at risk. Action folded around to Eric Braun in the big blind who thought for a moment before making the call.
Justin Fowler: K♠Q♣
Eric Braun: A♣9♦
The dealer put out a monotone flop of 2♦7♦8♦, giving Braun a flush draw. The A♦ landed on the turn, leaving Fowler drawing dead. The meaningless 5♠ fell on the river and Fowler was sent packing.

Steve Miller: A♣A♦
Small blind: Q♣Q♦
Miller flopped his opponent all but dead when the dealer put out A♠3♠3♥ onto the felt. The turn landed the J♣ and the meaningless river brought the 3♣.
